A complete outfit for the water
- Swimsuit or bikini in stretch knit, depending on her age and what she'll be doing.
- Towel or poncho: hooded ponchos with a mermaid or animal design keep her warm when she gets out; a printed towel is better for lying on.
- Water shoes with hook-and-loop fastening, from EU 20 to 32 depending on the style.
Sizes without surprises
For clothing, go by height: 6 years = 111–116 cm, 8 years = 123–128 cm, 10 years = 129–136 cm. For shoes, measure her foot. Towels and ponchos are one size.
Matching in and out of the water
Choose a towel in a colour that picks up a shade from the swimsuit. For the journey home, shorts and a T-shirt over a dry swimsuit stop her getting cold.
