What to buy at each age
In the first few months, sleepsuits and knit outfits that go on and come off with no fuss. Once he starts crawling and walking, elasticated-waist trousers, knit shorts and loose T-shirts give him more freedom. For hot days and the pool, quick-dry woven fabric swim shorts and water shoes with non-slip soles. Three-piece outfits are great value, as each piece can be mixed and matched on its own.
